Broke and hungry, the winter of 1982 Al Drewett opened Toledo Fiberglass.  In over his head, he quickly had to figure out how to remove and replace a transom on a bass boat in an empty lot under a power pole. It was a success.  Over the next few months Al was Blessed with enough work to rent a small place off of Pilcher Rd. on the lake.  Six months later and a loan from Sabine State bank for ten Thousand dollars, Toledo Fiberglass was built on Hwy 6 near Pendleton Assembly of God Church.  By August of 1983 our new shop was open and we began working and slowly but surely we began to earn a reputation for quality workmanship.  Most of our repairs at this time were the result of accidents on Toledo Bend.
In 1988 the Ammons family sold us the property where we built our home and new shop location.  This new location, built in 2006 allowed us to expand to a much larger facility and parking area for the many new customers we now enjoy.  We have been in business in Sabine Parish for 34 years and have enjoyed a steady growth where we now employ eight men and women.  Our customer base has expanded across the country.  About 85% of our customers come from other parts of the country including Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Missouri, and as far as California, and Alaska.
